A family affair — the Wolff Shoe Co.

Entering its fourth generation of being a family run business, Sesto Meucci, the women’s Italian-branded label of Wolff Shoe Co., has been in existence for more than 40 years.
Way back when, the Wolff family entered into an agreement with the Meucci’s, an old and very well-known Italian shoemaking family located in Florence, Italy, to manufacture high quality women’s footwear made with the finest Tuscan leathers.
Keeping in mind this tradition of Italian shoemaking, it seemed a natural transition for the Wolff’s to enter the golf shoe market. The Sesto Golf by Sherry line was launched at the PGA Merchandise Show with an incredible response.
“We have already sold through our stock three times, which is a testament to the shoes,” said Alex Chalfant, son of Sherry Wolff, the line’s namesake, and a member of the fourth generation to work in the business. “Women are loving the fact that they can wear fashionable yet comfortable golf shoes to and from the course in a broad range of sizes and widths.”
The shoes come in four styles and have a broad toe box, pillowed arch, and constructed of materials that allow them to be light, flexible and comfortable, yet made with a durability that will last for many season.

The Gavin features a lace-up design made in bronze nubuck leather with a contrast camel print nitry or mesh stretch fabric at the sides for ventilation. It also comes in a white full-grain leather style with beige tone mesh.
The Gascon is a slip on shoe made in black or taupe stretch mesh with an attached full-grain white leather kiltie as well as leather heel construction. The Gavra is also a slip on and comes in bronze leather contrasted with a beautiful embossed floral print, or white leather with black leather toe and heel insets.
The Gasha is an eye-catching style that takes on a modern spectator or wingtip appearance. Silver metallic, bone, or black patent perforated leather surrounds matching stretch mesh. A gusset at the top of the shoe allows for added comfort and sure fit.
All the shoes have leather insoles with a padded arch support and heel back for a comfortable, no slip element. Built on a classic styled last makes the shoes fit true to size. Also, the lightweight spikeless out sole is extremely flexible and perfect for golf or everyday wear.
“We have been successfully producing high-quality athleisure-type footwear for many years and wanted to take the design and technology of those products to the golf market,” Sherry Wolff said. “Sesto shoes have a very strong following among women, and are carried in Neiman-Marcus, Nordstrom, and fine retailers worldwide, including our own 35 Marmi stores.”
Sesto golf shoes are made in Italy and come in narrow, medium and wide widths (sizes 6 to 12). Pairs are replenished through an open stock program with no minimum quantity requirements, and handled within one to two days of the order date.
Suggested retail price is $250. Shoes can be purchased online at www.marmishoes.com and www.ladygolf.com.
