October is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. For more than two decades, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month has educated the populace about breast cancer, especially the importance of early detection via regular mammograms, clinical exams and self-exams.
It wouldn't be surprising if this disease, in one form or other, hasn't touched every one of us. During October, numerous events and activities, including golf tournaments, will take place across the country in support of the cause. There are a variety of ways to show your support of the pink ribbon campaign - a few symbolic items we can take or wear to the golf course are featured here, and a portion of every sale goes to breast cancer research.
